I've always had an appreciation for books. When I was younger, I read all the time. I loved getting lost in the pages and entering new worlds. It's convenient to read on a tablet, but the experience just isn't the same. I like the new book smell, feeling the weight of the book, and the satisfaction that comes once I've reached the end and turned the last page.
This room in Hotel Indigo instantly reminded me of my days of full time reading. The bookshelves have an antique feel and unique design that I fell in love with. Hotel Indigo is a really cute spot to stop for drinks, lunch, or even a staycation.
We've been having cool mornings and warm evenings, so this suede mini was the perfect piece to carry me through the day. I smiled pulling it off the hanger because I wore this same skirt for my first blog post. I remember meeting Glenford Nunez and being so nervous. It ended up turning out perfectly. Click here for that throwback post...if 6 months ago counts as a legit throwback.
I must say, this skirt is definitely a little more snug this time around haha. I paired it with matching suede wedges and a textured top. Sometimes I stand in front of the mirror and have no idea what to do with my hair. I just start adding twists and hope it turns into something presentable. That's what happened with this hairstyle. I forgot to get a good picture, but the twist goes all the way around and forms a layered halo.
Special thanks to the Hotel Indigo staff for giving me smiles instead of side eyes during this shoot. ❤️
